Hi All.
This is my first time looking at this community and posting, so if I'm not providing enough information or posting in the incorrect location, please let me know. Also, please keep in mind that I'm new to Power Automate, but I've been recently trying to utilize the tools for practical purposes.
The problem I was trying to solve was that end users were booking conference rooms and forgetting to let our Networking team know if they needed any special equipment.
My idea, each room has a calendar, so if I could utilize the "When an event is added, updated, or deleted (V3)" flow to watch the calendar and then send an email to the event creator with a link and/or special instructions around booking special equipment this might help.
Believing this seemed like a very simple flow and straightforward, I went to work. I created the flow and a simple message for testing. I did some preliminary tests, and everything seemed to work correctly, and I was excited about the results using my calendar. It was the end of the day, so I left the flow running and decided to wait until the next day before fine-tuning the flow and message to show to our Networking folks for feedback. This is where I'm glad I waited... The following day, a co-worker canceled a meeting occurrence from a reoccurring meeting. The flow went a little crazy. I received an update message from all the meetings on the occurrence, not just the one that was updated, AND then continued to receive updates for those meetings every 5-10 minutes until I stopped the flow. I figured I somehow made a mistake, so I deleted the flow and re-created the flow again. The same issue happened. It was working great until someone modified a reoccurring meeting.
My company books rooms with reoccurring meetings, and I don't want end users to be bombarded with messages every 5-10 minutes. Is anyone else having these issues with the "When an event is added, updated, or deleted (V3)" flow? If not, does anyone have any suggestions on other flow options?
Thank you in advance for your help!
