Power Automate Desktop in a RDS-enviroment with session-based virtualization

Hello,

our company is using a RDS-enviroment with session based virtualization.
can I use Power Automate Desktop and run Power Automate Desktop Workflows in a RDS session, without effecting sessions / causing problems for other users?

I mostly use PAD to create/run workflows that start programs, fill in forms etc. and use it exclusively on my local desktop pc.
My plan is to use PAD the same way i do on my local machine, but in a company remote desktop session.
I just wanna make absolutely sure that this wouldnt cause any problems for my co-workers (the extra CPU usage etc. is already accounted for).

The Power Automate Agent for Virtual-Desktops does not provide all the necessary functions for my applications.

Sadly I couldn't find alot of information on running PAD in this kind of enviroment, so I would be very grateful for any help/advice on this subject.
Huge thanks in advance :)

Kind Regards

-OD

    Hi,

Yes you can do with but keep in mind, no other users can be logged into the machine when your desktop flows are calls.  It works mostly very well although from my experience, desktop flows in unattended sessions typically ALWAYS run slower and not a stable when I run the same flow on my machine in attended mode; so you will need to account for that and build in delays and error-handling but the return is now you can have your machine back when these flows are running.
