Excel update a cell via decrement variable from a SharePoint item

Hey experts!

I'm trying to set up a flow that will connect to my existing SharePoint site to update an Excel table.

The Excel table is a total quantity list of all the IT equipment items currently available within the organization and includes a Quantity column.

The SharePoint list is a running log of all employee hardware requests and includes information about different user requests for equipment. It includes type of request, address to send the equipment and the equipment items requested.

I need a flow that achieves updating the Quantity column (Excel table) for the selected Equipment item choice column (SharePoint).

Happy to create a different table for each equipment item if that is going to be easier but would just like some guidance and help on this and how to achieve this flow.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you mean you would like to get content from Equipment item column and if say some one request for a laptop, we will substrate Laptop's quantity by 1.

Here is my demo for your reference:
1. First we will get content from Equipment column and split them once there are several items.
2. then we need to verify which item it is and thus we can decide which quantity in excel we should modify.
Here in Switch is the key point of our flow. I will take "Laptop" for an example:

Here are functions I used in my test for you to copy:

item()?['Item'] first(body('Filter_array')) outputs('Compose_2')?['Quantity'] sub(int(outputs('Compose_3')),1)
