Organizing of Tasks with Flow between Outlook and Planner

Hello community,

we want to organize our tasks in our team with a clearer presentation. I am using flow to send tasks from Outlook to Planner and otherwise, if a new task is assigned to me in Planner. I established a group with me team. Some things work well for us, but I struggle with some functions as well. I hope you can help me with the following topics:

I have set up two folders in Outlook and two flows that connect each other. One flow creates a task in Planner, when a task is created in the first folder in Outlook. The second flow creates a task in the second Outlook folder, if a task is assigned to me in Planner.

The second flow needs to check, if the task is already existent in the first folder. If the task is already existent nothing should happen.

Does anyone have a clue, how to check if the Title is already existent in the first folder?

I appreciate every help from you. If you have a complete different solution, I will be happy with this one as well!

Thank you in advance!

    Hi @ Flip5,

Do you want to check if the planner's task title is already exist in the first folder(Folder1) of outlook tasks when a task is created in planner?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try to create a flow as screenshot below:

When a task is created in planner,if the planner's task title is already exist in the first folder(Folder1) of outlook tasks, the flow would do nothing and run successfully as screenshot below:

When a task is created in planner,if the planner's task title doesn't exist in the first folder(Folder1) of outlook tasks, the flow would create the task in Folder2 and run successfully as screenshot below:

    Hello Alice,

thank you very much for your solution. I could implement it very easily!

Do you have by chance a solution for completing the tasks in Planner, when a taks is completed in Outlook? I found the trigger "when a taks is completed" but I do not know, how to implement this for every task in an Outlook task folder.

    Thank you in advance!

    Philipp
