When new item is created, send email (V2). But old items are being emailed!

So, 2 weeks ago I created a flow where whenever a new item is entered into a SharePoint list, an email gets sent out.  As I was not ready to use it, it was not turned on until today.

The problem I'm running into now is the flow is now sending out emails for hundreds and hundreds of items that were created the week before and last week.

Does "new item" only look for items after the flow was created and not for when the flow is turned on?

How do I fix this?

    Hi @bryanc78

Yes, FLOW will keep track of action form the created date and trigger for all old items once turned on again. What you can do is export and import the FLOW with a new name and use it.
Dont forget to delete the old FLOW.
