Flow from Excel does not run

Hi

I created a simple flow from the template "Create a row in another spreadsheet for a selected row."  I have two workbooks. Both are located in a SharePoint library.  When I open one of the spreadsheets and click Data > Flow, I can sign in and I see the flow. I then click a row in the table and click the flow's "Run now" arrow. Then the side panel turns white, I only see a "Sign out" link at the bottom and nothing else happens.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you provide a detailed screenshot of your Flow, and also provide a screenshot of the Flow's run errors so that we may assist you further? Also, insure that you have selected a non-header row within your table before attempting to run the Flow. Example:

Hello @Brad_Groux, thanks for your reply. Below are the screenshots. There are no run errors, because the flow does not run. At all.

When I run the flow, the flow panel turns white. Nothing happens. Nothing runs. No errors.

    Advice welcome.

@teylyn1 - Ok, so...I had all kinds of issues getting this one to go, and I think a bunch of it had to do with the Excel Add-In still being in Preview (totally my non-expert opinion).  But...

At the far right of the Flow window, there's a tiny arrow.  If you click that and select "Reload", does anything happen?

On mine, it wasn't seeing the Flow I had built, and kept signing me out, so I wonder if there are still some bumps to be worked out on the Add-In.  Try the reload and let us know what shows up (if anything).

    Thanks!

    Hello,

when I click that arrow and select "Reload", I get back to the sign in prompt in the panel. When I edit the flow, the document in the trigger is a string of letters and numbers. I have changed it back by selecting the workbook and saving the flow, but it turns back to the letters and numbers after I close and edit the flow.

And the run behaviour, or rather, lack thereof, is still showing.

Seeing that others have problems with running flows from Excel that even used to work before, I'm starting to think it's maybe not my fault?

    Hi @teylyn1  @edgonzales ,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I did a test in SharePoint Online. When I select the cell in the specified table, Flow can trigger normally, as below:

When using Microsoft Flow for Excel (Preview) in OneDrive for Business synced folder for testing, there was a situation described by @edgonzales .

It seems that this feature works fine in Office 365-OneDrive for Business/SharePoint Online.

    Best Regards,

I am not sure I understand the response from support here. I have a similar situation and I am using Sharepoint online. I am trying to create a new item in a share point list based on a selected row in an excel table.

I am using the Microsoft flow plugin for excel:

    1. I also noted the issued of changing file names as mentioned in one of the comments above

    2. Additionally, I am not able to run the flow. The run button is greyed out.

Has this issue been resolved? Any assistance is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ashish
