Group By in Gallery not working

(0) ShareShare

I am attempting to create a Gallery which will contain grouped Sharepoint data . However, after selecting the Gallery and attempting the following formula in Items: GroupBy(dummy_data, "Vendor Name",  "DATA" ), it comes up with an error. The GroupBy doesn't seem to recognise the Vendor Name column, in the suggested options the columns are not showing up with same names as in the Sharepoint list. Instead it's names like "field 0" etc (see attached image). Any suggestions?

    @Anonymous ,

    Please try:

    GroupBy(dummy_data, "Vendor_x0020_Name", "DATA" )

    This is the internal name of the column.

    Hope it helps !

    @Anonymous

    What is the real name of your column in SharePoint?  To be certain, go into the list settings of your list, then click on the column you are trying to group by.  Then, look at the end of the URL in your browser address bar.  It will show the real name of the column.  That is what you would need to provide.

    If the column was created with some other name, that name will *never* change.  You can rename a column as many times as you want, but the underlying real name remains.

    Some functions in PowerApps "honor" the changed names, and some require the "real" name.

    I hope this is helpful for you.
