BYODL Flow Usage for more recent flows

Posted on by 163

The BYODL data export with the CoE only has flows up to about 3 days ago. I would like to create a report for our makers for e.g. yesterday flow failures.

Currently i tell them they have to go to make.powerautomate.com and check 'cloud flow activity'

Can the Data Export contain more recent flows ?

@jjpreston291 sorry looks like this got pushed back, it was originally due to be released Jan (I saw it in my preview environment and saw others had too as saw faw blogs on it), but now it has been pushed back to sometime this month (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/release-plan/2023wave2/power-automate/store-cloud-execution-history-dataverse) So you might have to wait a few weeks.

@wyattdave Thanks. I think Application Insights will need quite a lot of setup per flow but i am testing this. Would i see the new 'run logs' table from make.powerspps.com table list. I could not find it

    Hi @jjpreston291 ,

There are a couple of ways, both preview so usual disclaimer.

You can push flow logs into application insights

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/app-insights-cloud-flow

This is what I use, but also there is now run logs in Dataverse (only out last month)

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/reference/entities/workflowloghttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/reference/entities/workflowlog

Both can be pushed into Power I and shared with your team
