Impact of content type update on files running in Microsoft Flow

Hi,

I have developed a Microsoft Flow for approvals which is triggered every time file is created/file properties are updated. I am planning to make some changes to content type (on site level) which is covered by already designed flow, namely, add some new options to multiple choice site columns, make some columns visible in the form for file uploading, possibly add some new site columns to content type in questions and update descriptions of the site columns. Will such content type changes trigger modification of already created files of same content type, and thus, retrigger flow runs?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Alexandra

    Hi @AliaChtromberg,

Could you please explain more details about the content type that you mentioned?

I have made a test on my side, if you just add a column in the library or add new options to multiple choice site columns, the changes will not trigger modification of already created files of same content type or retrigger flow runs.

If modify the value of the column of an item in the libaray, the changes will trigger modification of already created files.

    Best regards,

    Alice
