I have formatted text in SharePoint that I would like to use as the body of an email in "Send and EMail V2" Action. Problem is, the text from this Column doesn't come back with all the embedded HTML. It's plain text between div tags.

How can I get this HTML and get the Action to treat it as body HTML so the recipient sees a nicely formatted HTML memo? BTW, I couldn't find a way to search just the Power Automate forum. Not sure what I'm missing.

The "Send an email (V2)" action automatically formats emails as HTML messages. You can reference some HTML formatted text in the email body and it will display correctly:

Thanks, Tomac. I should have been more specific. I'd like to take the content in a multi-text Column with advanced editing, access it as HTML, and use it for the body of an email in PA. I don't want the content in the body to be "trapped" in BA -- I want to externalize it to data. I can author in multiple tools and store raw HTML in SharePoint, but that requires and extra step.

Can PA retrieve the HTML from a Column with enriched text? Right now, I'm getting just the text.

Issue was with changing multi-line Text field to and from rich editing. Created a new column and the richly formatted text comes back as HTML. This was a sleigh ride through Hades.

In general, SharePoint doesn't seem to handle changed column types well at all. Also had issues with switching between single- and multi-line text Columns. #nightmare
