Handling Start Timestamp

Hi all,

I am running into the following issue.

When I load data for process mining, my timestamps appear to be incorrect. I don't get any error messages when preparing the date, but after saving and analyzing my process, many timestamps are set to 1-1-0001. The strange thing about this is that previously I used the same export format (over the same dataset) and it worked back then. The only thing I have changed are the names of the activities. I've tried everything but can't get it to work.

I use the following format for the timestamps: 'YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS'
There are a number of printscreens in the attachment.

Do you have a possible solution for this?
I'd love to hear it, thanks in advance!

    Hi Kwak1,

Is the file containing now exactly the same cases as before or are there new cases? Are you able to find out which exact dates (from which case/activity became incorrect? Is it one specific date or is it random?

    Hi @AndreAdc,

I'm assuming it's completly random.. I got the exact same case numbers and only adjusted the activity name. As an example I upload one case with the old situation and then new. On the left how I upload the data and on the right the output of the process mining tool. This is happening to the most of the cases.

    Hi Kwak1,

It looks weird. The data types of the columns are determined by the first x number of rows. I have seen columns being tagged as integer where at the end of the file the same column had also characters in it. In this case, it is weird that dates are misinterpreted. You get the same wrong result with just one case?

    Hi @AndreAdc ,

It's really weird, the format seems to be equal over the entire data set.
In total I upload 36k cases, 7.5k of them are mapped wrongly like that one case.

    So I'm a bit lost..

Probably, you can reach out to Microsoft Support with this issue.
