Sharepoint Flow stops running after a month

Hello,

I have some flows that seem to stop running for no particular reason. The flow runs like this:

When a new list item is created, the flow

Sends an email
updates the name in the approver column

Starts and waits for an approval

If it is approved, it updates the approver name to the next approver and starts an approval for the next one etc.

For some reason, some of the flows just stop without any errors or failures. In the list, I can see the items have reached some approver but he gets no notification on the flow app.

The only thing I have noticed is  that the pending approvals that he SHOULD see are some that were created more than one month ago.

Is it possible that the flows have a set expiration period of 1 month? and if yes, what can i do to increase it?

thank you,

@Dudensen yes every flow will timeout after 30 days and there is nothing you can do directly to increase it. If yu are expecting to have a lot of long-running flows then you might want to look at the article at https://www.techmikael.com/2018/01/how-to-architect-long-running-flows.html
