Request sign off - visibility of approvals

Hello community,

I recently began using flows for approval of documents.

Typically, we have people from different countries requesting a document be uploaded in Sharepoint, then circulated for approval.

One person administers this for everyone.

One issue that came up straight away is that there is no visibility for the requestors of when the document is approved, or a history (when and who) of approvals. Is that something that can be added or seen somewhere?

I have provided the requestors with view-only access within the respective folder of the document library.

I also tried searching for a "Request sign-off" template in Microsoft Flows in order to modify it but couldn't find one.

Any help would be great.

Regards

Alex

It sounds like you will want to create an Approval Flow from scratch.

You will be able to do such things as

    • Send emails to those who requested approval tell them the status of their request
    • log approval updates to a SharePoint list (you'll need to add a column or columns for this data)

If your Flow will be manually strated (rather than starting when a document is created or changed), you'll need to "share" the Flow on a read-only basis with the library.

Here is a link to the Approval docuemntation to help get you started.

If you have specific question when building your Flow, please post here.

    Scott
