Hi,

I really hope someone could help me with this.

I'm trying to build flow as an Inventory stock alert from the Inventory list Excel sheet.

I have an Excel sheet named 'inventory list' and I have two columns in my Inventory list (Quantity in stock) & (Reorder level). I want simply to trigger a flow , when a value is entered in the 'Quantity in stock ' cell less than 'Reorder level' to send an email instantly.

The best I could do, I built this flow but did not get the intended result.

Can anyone help me with this?

Appreciated!

I do not see a condition that tests the two cells in excel in your flow.  Add this and you should be okay.

Hope that helps, I assume you know about the conditions in flow.

    Regards,

Hi Andrew thank you for yoru reply.

I did actually try condition but didn't work, not sure if I am missing something.

Do you mean something like this?

The flow kept sending me a sequence of email alerts of each row in the sheet (including values not conditioned).

    Can you help?

    @Silex7

I think you need to look at trigger, I assume who ever is updating inventory is keying in the quantity manually  And that the flow will be used to email someone else to go and place an order for new stock.  When that stock comes in that person will update number in stock.  So could you not use in a basic form

    For a selected row

    conditon

if yes email if no terminate

That way the flow will trigger anytime a row is changed and not trigger on a daily basis at 09:00.

yes use the HTML table if you want to make the email content look pretty.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thank you again.

I tried your flow sequence, but I still get emails for every cell change in the whole table not only the target cells, even though I set the condition between 'Quantity in stock' and 'Reorder level'.

How can I define the cells?

That is something you will have to live with if you are using the online version for the entry of data.  If you use the desktop application then this will not happen and once you save the file it will only send one email.

If you want to do everything on line then I think a SharePoint list will offer you better control.

    Regards,

    Thank you, Andrew.

I understand this scenario. I think in that case I would agree with you that the SharePoint list would be a better option for me.

    Thank you for your help!
