License Requirements for Power Apps Writeback in Power BI Dashboard

Hi Everyone,

 

I am building an app in Power Apps for writing back comments in a Power BI Dashboard. Could someone clarify which license is required for this functionality?

 

Currently, I have a Power Pages Developer License. My account is also aligned with Power BI PPU.

    Hi @Maivish, 

     

    To enable writeback functionality in Power Apps for Power BI dashboards, you’ll need the following licenses:

     

    Power Apps Premium License:
    Each user who interacts with the Power Apps app (for writing back comments) needs a Power Apps Premium license.
    Your current Power Pages Developer License might not cover this requirement, so consider upgrading to a Power Apps Premium license.


    Power BI License:
    Since you’re working with Power BI dashboards, ensure that users have appropriate Power BI licenses.
    The Power BI Pro License and Power Apps license are separate, so you’ll need both individually.
