Approval ID

Hello,

I would like to manage Approval step from PowerApp and I cannot find way how to do that.

1) How can I get active approval ID within flow and send it as a response to app? I can get ID after approval step, but it is too late, I would like to send ID to App once it is started.

2) Then I would like to have same functionality to email sent by approval, but directly in PowerApp. So I will have buttons Approve and Reject within PowerApp. Is there a way how to achieve this?

    Hi @TomasZubov,

    First:

In theory, we could only get Approval ID after Start Approval action is executed. This ID does not exist before the Approval action is executed. I am afraid there is no way to achieve this requirement.

    Second:

It seems that this is the content of PowerApp, you may could find a method in this community, but it is worth noting that Flow could only be approved in the Approval center or Outlook web currently.

    Best Regards,

    Barry

    Hi @v-bacao-msft

    Thank you

    1) I understand that ID is available only in case approval is initialized. Problem is, I can work with ID in steps that run after approval not in parallel step. I would like to have it at moment when approval is started, but not finished yet, so I can perform action in 2) via API.

    2) ok so no possibility to say from outside vi API or such "set approval <ID> response approve/reject", am I right?

    Hi @TomasZubov,

I am afraid that is impossible. If you want these features to be supported by Flow, or you have any good suggestions, please consider submitting it as an idea in Microsoft Flow idea forum:

    Best Regards,

    Barry
