Hi,

I want to copy a file (. PDF) from one SharePoint to another. Is that even possible?

Like, for example:
www.mySharepointInternal.eu ---> www.anOtherSharePoint.com

Knowing that login credentials are not the same.

Thanks !

    Hi @Anonymous,

Per my testing, when using the action “SharePoint - Create file”, it would be possible to create file from one SharePoint to another. Please make sure you have created connections to both correctly.

While if you are using the action “SharePoint – Copy file”, it would be not possible to use it to create file from one SharePoint library to another.

Please try with the action “Create file” instead of “Copy file” to see if it will work for you.

    Best regards,

    Hi @v-yamao-msft,

    Thanks for your help !

But I don't understand how to connect to my other sharepoint ? Where to write my login details ?

My goal is that when a user creates a .PDF file, the file is copied to another SharePoint. But besides, I can't copy the whole file. It only takes metadata !

    Hi @Anonymous,

You need to create connections to both the two SharePoint under Connections with correct credentials.

About how to manage connections in Flow, please check this doc:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/add-manage-connections

When configuring the trigger or action, click the “…” then select the connection you want to use for the trigger/action under My connections.

Please take the following screenshot for a reference.

When using the trigger “When a file is created(properties only)”, it won’t return a dynamic content for file content. So please add another action “Get file content”, then you could use the dynamic content “File content” for the Create file action.

    Best regards,
    Mabel Mao
