Is there any way to connect to the Windows Virtual machines or any other server through power automate ?

Hey All,

 

Hope you guys are doing well,

 

Just wanted a quick check on how we can connect or interact with virtual servers ?!

Can it be done by using power automate desktop ?!

    yeah @eric-cheng , having a use case that needs to go to virtual severs like windows servers and linux servers and do some sort of stuff there so, to automate, wanted to check this one, Thanks..!

    Hi @Anonymous ,

     

    If you referring to being able to remote to a server and control the server via RDP, then imo, it is not possible.  Theoretically, you could try using image recognition for mouse clicks and keystrokes as I have heard others do for other RPA platforms but it will usually fail at some point.

     

    Conversely, you could look into using Power Platform as an orchestrator to run remote Powershell here or Azure Automation runbooks here.

     

    I have used runbooks before on Azure VMs.
