how to create a flow that works like: every time someone adds a new file to a document library in SharePoint, the flow creates a hyperlink to document library. Each time I try to do this I find that the functions I use do not have dynamic content and I'm struggling. Any help would be gratefully received.
I can't find the link that is being created!! Can you look at my flow please and tell me what is the next step to have a usable link?
See below - in my case, the link ends up in the Description column, but you can put it in any column you create (simple text would be best):
Hi again,
Could you please share with me your SharePoint document library view because i just run flow as you mentioned above but unfortunately cannot get link
See this example where I put the sharing link into the Description column in my library.
Hi,
could you please share here full flow then i can understand.
When you turn the flow on and you create a new file, the link should come as an output of the second action that you can inspect in flow when looking at that particular run. If you want the link to appear somewhere (e.g.: sharepoint), you need to use an update file properties action to add the link to a column you have created for this purpose. Just FYI, you cannot easily write a value to a Hyperlink column, so use a simple text column instead.
