File System Power Automate Flow - "The credentials for this connection do not have access to"

Posted on by

I'm trying to run a very simple flow to copy files from a local directory to Sharepoint, but receive an error that states "the credentials for this connection do not have access to " ". Link to Flow --> https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/details/d2f34ae0dfa011e6b070f5b13cd24608/copy-new-files-from-your-pc-to-sharepoint/

I've had other people try on their computers, tried other credentials, tried other local folder paths, tried network file shares, etc. I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot, and at this point I'm convinced it's a flow created to make me lose my hair. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

the File System connector requires that the root folder be a network share,  You can't access a regular drive reference.  You will also need an on-premises gateway to access the local file system.  This blog post provides a good overview.

Thank you for the reply. I haven't figured it out but I know what the problem is. Our computers at work aren't technically joined to a domain. I believe we're on some hybrid Azure environment. So even though I authenticate to network shares using \\domain\share, I think because I'm not technically on a domain the File System flow always fails. It's way over my head honestly, but I'm 99% sure that's the problem, I'm just not sure how to work around it.
