One flow triggering an email from a second flow

Within a List, I have two columns that enable choices to be selected. Although my testing seems to indicate this is irrelevant, the choices are identical in both.

I have created flows for both columns that trigger different emails when a different choices are selected. That is, if 'Approved' is selected, one particular email is triggered. 'Rejected' triggers a different email.

I have no difficulty creating the flows. The appropriate emails are triggered in the way I want them to be.

The problem is that the triggering of one email from column 2 also triggers an email from column 1 (matching whatever the setting is in that column) even though the field value in column 1 wasn't changed.

I've double and triple-checked that I've selected the right values in the flows. I've tried deleting and then re-creating the flows without success. I've tried Control and Switch as the selection criteria but neither has made any difference. As I'm a newbie to Power Automate, I'm not very proficient so I'm hoping that someone in the community can help resolve my problem.

Everything else is working great!

By the way, this is one flow that I've created. My assumption is that the 'Case' only applies to the field selected in 'Switch'. But obviously not.

Hello! I am not sure I fully understand your scenario. The trigger you are using will run every time an item is created or modified, no matter which field (column) was updated.

However, if you have a Condition control or a Switch, the flow should not send 2 emails if the logic was properly set. Since you have a Switch, you can try this:
