Hi,
I converted my page from test to production, but can still use ist without a license. Microsoft states that the performance will be bad without a license. Until now, I can not confirm this.
Does anybody have experience with this, or can tell me what to expect when using it without a licence?
Second question I have is the following: When Creating the Page in a Developer Environment, there is no warning that the Page will be deactivated after 90 days when not convertet to a production, makes sense in a way because this step ist not possible in developer environments. So in dev environments the page could be used in test state longer then 90 days? Or will it disapear after 90 days?
It woul be greate to get some advice on this 🙂
Kind regards
Caddy
1 - Changing the portal type to Production is not a problem, the main thing here is which environment is the Portal pointing to.
For example, if you have a Sandbox env, with a Portal type = production, this is not a problem and you won't be expected to pay licenses. If your environment is PROD and your Portal is being used for production purposes, then you should add capacity.
From a performance perspective, yes that's correct. Basically Microsoft will only scale up Azure Resources after you purchase the license packs.
If you have a very low volume of users you can probably just buy one pack for 100 users and it shouldn't be very expensive.
2 - What gets deactivated here is your entre Site, and not a specific Page. Important to note that your component won't be deleted, so even after the Portal gets deactivated, you can also reactivate and your Page should still be there
