Hi all, from a Newbie to Power Automate & Power Apps
I note that this question was asked back in 2023 but it was apparently a complex process back then and wondered if things had been simplified since then?
I am new to Power Automate & Apps in the last month and am taking courses on Udemy so I would only go as far to say I am beginner.
Due to restrictions on count of emails I could send, I have set up my own basic business tenant with Power Automate Premium and using this as a test environment for Apps and Flows I can use at work.
I currently have an app that collects signatures of people through Pen Input boxes at 3 different stages of a work place drug & alcohol screening process that does require signatures at each stage (Screening Consent, Agreement of 1st Stage results & outcome (if any), Agreement of 2nd Stage of results and outcome (if any)) . I can patch these through images through to SharePoint no problem.
I am able to successfully export text and date data from single or multiple SharePoint lines/items to repeating rows in Word template with plain text control boxes, or to single page reports (one SharePoint Item per page)
... but have really struggled with exporting the signature images - to the point of (according to Co-Pilot) breaking the underlying schema of SharePoint - which I find hard to believe, but I reset my laptop and started from scratch to be sure.
Has anyone got any useful experience I can draw from or example workflows I could look at please? This is all non for profit and just to make my working life easier.
To simplify my learning I have set up a SharePoint list with just 3 columns (Name, Date and Signature) all taking data from a simple App that has date selector, text input and pen input box. I can Patch all data through as noted, but exporting the image of the signature from SharePoint is the only sticking point. I have tried various "get file content" and "get file content using path" and "convert to base 64 etc" etc. but all keep failing. I may be a) missing something really simple, b) being "thick" or c) just not experienced enough or worse - d) all 3
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or resources on web I can draw from. I have tried YouTube and Google, but cannot seem to find something that works - even exporting to HTML table does'nt work.
