Flow Converting Date to String in Outlook, How to keep as Date?

I am brand new to FLOW and trying to automate a workflow.  Basically someone submits a project number that needs to be exteneded, and based on some criteria I either approve/reject that, and send an email to the requestor.  SO far I have everything working, except I reference the new dates in the email reponse, and they are coming back formatted as a string.

    Hi @Anonymous

    check this thread

Excel online connector converts date to number (its a limitation)

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Please take a try with expression below for the date time from excel online:

    addDays('1900-01-01',add(int(datetimefromexcel),-2))

    Best regards,

    Alice

Go to your excel file and change format from Date to Text.

    Hope this helps

I just ended up adding an additional column and using the "Concat" function with Month, date, and Year embeded into the CONCAT function.   Then I linked this new column.  It is sad that I have to work around the date like this, but it worked.
