Hi!

Is there a way to cut off a string at x length and concatenate "..." on the end?

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut in auctor nisl, at consectetur diam."

would become:

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit ..."

    Hi @9kMan ,

Yes.  Neat trick, if you're using labels and set the Wrap option to "Off", it does it for you, but this doesn't help when you want multiple lines and then a "..." cutoff.

    For this you can use

    If(Len(myVar)>30, Left(myVar, 27)&"...", myVar)

Where 30 is whatever your character limit is - you can Left() your string to your character limit minus three and add the three dots.

    Hope this helps,

    RT
