Cancel Request sign-off

I would like to cancel a request sign-off but it's greyed out and if I hover over "Cancel approval" it says "Cancel is not supported for this approval".

Is this true? You can not cancel a request sign-off?

I'm assuming the Flow is using an Approvals action to generate the request sign-off mentioned. If so, only the V2 Approvals actions are cancelable. In this case, it sounds like the Flow will need to be updated to use one of the newer Approval actions.

I've found that this works. Use the document Version History and make the previous version the current version (Restore)
Then delete the version that is waiting for sign-off. Test it first !

This worked for me. I am a Global Admin so not sure if this would be a limited function for other user roles. In the interest of transparency, I did discover this quite accidentally.

Version History
View
Edit (my edit button is grayed out because I have already done this step)
Delete "Pending" from Sign Off status
Save

You will then have a new version with no approval request.
