Hi All,
I have some SP Lists that I want to hide from certain users. I know how to hide the list, but I was hoping I could say setup a M365 group for all the users I dont want to access the lists. Which should leave those I do. Or I could do it the other way around.
Or the easy way is ot hide them ofr all and give those that need access the direct site address.
I only have three days to get this done.
Regards,
Andrew
You'll need to uninherit Permissions on the SharePoint Lists you want to hide, remove the groups that have users in them that shouldn't see it, and then add the groups of people that you want to have read / contribute / full control. That would mean ensuring that - for example, if Visitors is 'Everyone' - you create an M365 group full of the people that SHOULD see the list - remove Visitors from the list's permissions, and add your new M365 Group instead.
I'm not sure why you would use an HTTP call for this unless you were doing it for a LOT.
