Hello great community!

I am trying to figure out how to build a flow that would automatically save signed contracts to SharePoint.  The trick would be to match the SharePoint row to the attachment.   The email comes in and it will say something like this...

"Dr. Smith has signed offer off employment...."

It can be varied but should say something to the effect that it has been signed.

The contract will be attached and it always contains the word signed.  So here is an example of a file name.

T. Smith MD Offer Letter 4.15.23 Revised signed

Is there a way to match the name of the name.  Lets say its Thomas Smith in the provider column in SharePoint list.  Or is this too difficult?

Thanks!

    Hi @wherdzik

Does the name in contract file always appears like T. Smith

Like first name is short followed by last name in full name format ?

It appears that this is a trend. It seems to be Always First initial followed by a period and then last name.

    Hi @wherdzik

    Ok

I would suggest the below logic

First extract the name of person from attachment, (for this use split operation and then take the first 2 text values and join them both by space )

Next filter the result from get items by converting the name column value to Format First name first character. lastname. like T. Smith and then compare with value obtained from step 1, use filter array for this operation

    Hope it helps !
