Forward email at certain time of day

Hello,

I'm in the process of setting up a forward email flow Monday-Friday from 5pm MT to 8AM MT time and weekends. I have already made a weekend flow that goes off the day but am having trouble working with a time constraint and day constraint during the week. Any help would be awesome.

Compose is working: dayOfWeek(formatDateTime(triggerBody()['ReceivedDateTime'],'D'))

so is outputs

but unsure of time and also where to put it: int(formatdatetime(triggerOutputs()?['body/receiveddatetime'],'hh'))

Thank you in advance,

    Hi @jared7 ,

Do you want to forward emails at designated times on weekdays?

If so, I recommend using the real-time time utcNow() instead of triggerBody()['ReceivedDateTime'], because triggerBody()['ReceivedDateTime'] doesn't change since the email is received.

You can put the process shown in the second image into a do until loop to implement delayed message forwarding . If the condition action return true, forward the message and end the loop, if false then delay 6 hours (or delay custom time) and continue the loop to determine if the present time utcNow() after 6 hours meets the requirements .

In addition, you can control whether the do until loop ends by manipulating a variable.

    Best  Regards,

    Bof

    Hi Bof,

Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying to forward e-mails at a certain time of day during the weekdays and i get to use the utcnow() but i am a little confused on how to use it. Can you help me out a bit more with the do unitl loop? I am still fresh to power automate.

    Thank you,

    Jared

    Hi Bof,

Thanks again for all the help with this. I am getting a time out when i test the flow. I'll let it run through the evening and see if it kicks on at 5pm or not.

    Thanks,

    Jared
