Unable to create unattended session

I created a Scheduled Cloud flow that calls a Desktop Flow to run in Unattended mode. I have it connecting directly to a machine but when it runs I get "Cannot create new session to execute unattended run." I registered the machine with my login and also have it connecting with my credentials. I confirmed there are no active user sessions on this machine. How do I troubleshoot this? Is there something that will tell me "why" it can't create the session? (like a permissions issue for example) Thanks for any help.

Hi @Dheeraj_Brimma ,

could you make sure Remote desktop is enabled on the target machine (the machine on which the unattended run will be performed). You should also be able to connect to that machine via remote desktop using the same credentials you used to create the flow connection. If you still get the same issue, could you provide the run id as shown in the screenshot below (x-ms-run-id, see headers part)

I'm having the same issue. RDP is working and I can connect using the same credentials in the flow connection.
Below is the run-id.

I have also the same message. Attended run works perfectly but unattendet is not working

No Chance I sill have the same issue. I tested several VMs. The only thing changed is the Error message. Instead of "Unable to create unattended session" it is "Cannot create new session to execute unattended run."

We did get this fixed in the end. The problem was caused by an Intune MDM baseline policy. The setting we updated was under "remote desktop services", 'Prompt for password upon connection' - had to be disabled for the VM.

New Information from MS: We found out that session creation fails when the user password (used for the connection) contains non-ascii characters. In my case I just had to change my password.

Hi @AntFrench,
Are you still facing the that issue ? if it is the case; could you perform a new run and after it fails provide the runId ? (see above how to get the run id)

When I try running on attended mode, everything's working perfectly.
