Planner - Dynamic Task Assignment

Hi,

I've been using Flow to automate the creation of Planner tasks to several of my colleagues. I'm now looking for a way that person these tasks are assigned to can be regularly changed easily by my manager, without me needing to manually update the Flows and specifying the 'Assigned User Ids' value.

I'm using the Planner Action 'Create a Task' - how can I have this query a SharePoint list or Excel Spreadsheet to populate the 'Assigned User Ids' values? Does this require a Custom Connector?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

    Hi @rwx ,

Could you please explain more details about your requirement?

Could you please share more details about the SharePoint list or Excel Spreadsheet that you could get the Assigned User information?

    Best regards,

    Alice

    Hi @rwx

Can you share more details on the scenario that you are trying to build? Here is sample: plans.PNG

The Assigned User IDs in the create planner taskl action expects email address of the user in the organization. If you create a sharepoint column of type person (i have created one by the name assign and so it is appearing in the dynamic content that way), the assign to email is the field that you will add here. So basically this flow will create a planner task whenever a new item is created in that list. (makes sense?)

    Hope this Helps!
