Datacard store the selected items from a combobox

Hi everyone,

I have a SPL form (customize with Powerapps) which handle a list of request. For further explanation, we will call this SPL "Approval Request".

In parallel, I have a secondary SPL called "People" which give me a list of approvers.

In my main form "Approval Request", I added a connection to "People". Within this form I have inserted a combobox to select the people who has to approve my request. Take a look below:

How can I display the secondary data (email information) from the selected items into my second datacard "Emails of approver"? This datacard store the information in a column inside my database "Approval Request".

I used the formula below but is not working. Is driving me crazy! any idea? 😉 Thanks!!

    LookUp('Approval Request', People=Combobox.Selected.People, 'Email Information')

    Or

    LookUp('Approval Request', People=Combobox.Selected.Value, 'Email Information')

    Hi @eka24 ,

yes of course! you are right. let me explain better.

let me show you first the two SPL structure:

    capture15.png

My 2 datacards discussed: "To Send" & "Email of approver", the first one belong to my SPL "People", and the second belong to my main SPL "Request approval".

the formula used for Email of approver is: Default = LookUp('Approval Request',People=cbAprover.Selected.Value,Email)

fyi, here is the basic settings of my combobox:

hope this make sense. let me know if you need any other detail 😉 Thanks!!

    Try;

    LookUp('Approval Request','Email of Approver'=cbAprover.Selected.Value,'Email of Approver')

    Or

    LookUp('Approval Request','Email of Approver'=cbAprover.Selected.Email,'Email of Approver')

Explanation; We are looking in the approval request List, look for email Column on the list which is equal to the email in the person list. If you find it, bring the email in the approval request list.

    Hi @eka24 ,

    it does not work.

However, I was testing your formula and I tried in my datacard "Email of approver" to write the following: DefaultcbAprover.Selected.Email. and it worked half the way:

    what do you think?

Ideally what I need is something like: steve@outlook.com; adam@outlook.com; etc...

let me know what you think! 🙂

    Hi @Corleone ,

    Try this:
Set the below formula onChange event of the people picker control in the form:

    UpdateContext({varSelectedEmails:Concat(ForAll(DataCardValue182.SelectedItems,Email),Value&";")})

Now you set the variable back to a label/input text filed.

I hope this resolved your issue if you see any challenge/need further help please let me know I am always happy to do it for my community.

    Regards,
    Krishna
