Data source refresh duplicate data

Hello PowerApps Community,

I am encountering an issue with the manual refresh of tables in my PowerApps app that is linked to a live data source on OneDrive. I have set the app to manually refresh the tables at a designated frequency, but it doesn't seem to delete or override the existing data.

Here are the details of my configuration:

  1. I have configured the "Refresh" settings for the tables in the Data tab of PowerApps.
  2. I have checked the OneDrive file version to ensure it's the latest one.
  3. There are no apparent errors during the refresh process.

Despite these configurations, the existing data is not being cleared, and the new data is not being loaded correctly.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem effectively? I appreciate any insights or guidance you can provide.

Thank you in advance!

    Hi @StormB ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario? How did you delete/add items in the data source? Refresh function works on connections and will only get the latest data from data sources, it won't refresh the table on backend actually.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jeffer,

I appreciate your time and assistance in helping me with a challenge I'm facing in my PowerApps application. Allow me to provide some context:

I've developed an app to collect "activity data," where employees input time against various processes/functions they perform daily. The selection of these processes is organized hierarchically, with towers representing level 1 and subsequent levels (2, 3, and 4) providing more detailed processes. Our activity data analysis primarily focuses on level 4 processes, which amount to over 1000 and undergo occasional changes and mappings to different level 1 towers.

To structure this, I've uploaded each level to a new table and mapped the new level to the previous table. However, I'm encountering challenges during manual refreshes. I've linked the app to an Excel spreadsheet via OneDrive to facilitate easier data editing. The goal is that when I perform a manual refresh on the tables, it should pull data from the spreadsheet and override the existing data in the application's tables.

Currently, the data refresh from OneDrive is resulting in data duplication, meaning that I must manually delete and remap the data each time. This process is time-consuming, especially given the vast number of processes involved.

Any insights or guidance on how to prevent this data duplication issue during manual refreshes would be immensely helpful.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
