We use Power Automate to forward critical email alerts to our on-call employees. Every week, we have to update the email recipient in several flows due to a new on-call person.
Issues
When using the Send an email (V2) action in a flow, the “To” field does not allow legitimate email addresses to be entered unless you click the “Add Dynamic Content” first.
This feature did not used to be this way and it makes it confusing and difficult to update entries such as cell phone email addresses.
Additionally, new entries entered with the “Add Dynamic Content” selected do not update completely when saved. Clicking the Back Arrow and coming back to the Flow Edit feature does show that the entries were saved correctly, but you shouldn't have to do this to verify a correct setup.
Suggestions
It would be nice if Power Automate supported an address book where we could choose the person’s name quickly rather than having to enter in their cell phone email address.
Additionally, it would be nice if Power Automate supported a Variable value for the email address so we could update one variable instead of updating several flows separately.
