Get powerautomate content approval comments into sharepoint version history

I have an approval workflow working well using the 'set content approval' feature. I also have a column in sharepoint which displays the approval comment which works well.

Is it possible to get the same approval comment placed into the sharepoint document history?

From what I have read, to use this comment section, you need to use the 'check in file' option - however this will clash with my current operation as there is no 'check out', and creating one would essentially check in the document twice.

This is my current 'set content approval' function:

Hi - this does not help, as it requires you to capture an approval comment before actually performing the approval, and also doesn't mention how to get the approval comment into the document version history comment (please let me know if i've misunderstood)

    Hello,

if you want to save the comment from your approval you need a seperate column for that in SharePoint and then save the comment value there before you approve it

If this solved your issue please mark the post as Solved.
Also, if you appreciated my answer, don't forget to give it a Thumbs Up 😃
