I'm currently working on a leave approval request calendar and ran into some difficulty. I am using this video on vacation request using MS Flow as guide. Is there a way to customize the email generated from "Start an Approval" action within the Start approval when a new item is added? I also tried replacing it with "Send email with option" without success.

I'm receiving a email that states "Start an Approval action failed. Please check the values assigned for the action".

@bufflao36 without a screenshot of your flow it's difficult to decipher what's happening or what the resolution is. So if you can post a screenshot one of us here will be able to respond.

Yes, you can customize the approval emails. See Use Markdown in Power Automate approval requests documentation, along with the Create custom response options for approval flows documentation.

If there is functionality that is not included that you would like to see added, please consider submitting it to the Flow Ideas page, where it can be voted on by other users, and tracked and commented on by the Flow team.

If you are still having issues, provide an expanded screenshot of your Flow and steps, your Flow run history, and of any detailed error messages you're receiving we could likely better assist you. Also, for the best results, you may want to review How to write a good forum post.
