Trouble Uploading Files and Using SharePoint Links in Copilot Studio Knowledge Section

I wanted to share a challenge I’ve been facing with Copilot Studio in case others have encountered something similar—or have found a workaround.

Recently, I attempted to upload several individual files to the Knowledge section of Copilot Studio. Unfortunately, none of them were successfully ingested. There were no clear error messages or indicators of what went wrong—just a quiet failure to process the content.

To troubleshoot, I tried using SharePoint links instead of direct file uploads. However, Copilot Studio didn’t seem to recognize the links at all. Even when I verified that the links were accessible and permissions were correctly set, the system didn’t acknowledge them as valid sources.

This has been a blocker for me, especially as I’m trying to build a more intelligent and responsive assistant that can reference our internal documentation.

If anyone has:

Successfully uploaded individual files recently,

Used SharePoint links that were recognized and indexed,

Or has insight into what might be causing this issue,

I’d really appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas!

I actually posted myself about a similar issue. Existing flows (Agents etc) that already existed their Uploaded Files also became unavailable.

I had to swap over to another Dev environment I have to continue to work while I try to figure this out with Microsoft, as not a single thing I have tried has worked and I have a lot of knowledge in this space.

So.... I am not sure :-( myself.

As I have multiple tenants, I should be clear, I swapped tenants, because every environment in the one tenant, they would all fail like this AND all the pre-existing were broken too. Seemed to happen right after an update.

I am thinking about doing a CoPilot Reset and see if that fixes it.

Once I cleared out the cache in my browser it seemed to fix the fact that now i can upload a SharePoint file to the knowledge section again.  What a relief.

I hope this helps someone else.

    Thank you.

Here is a bunch of modern solution how we can upload files to SharePoint using Copilot Studio custom agent:

    1. Upload multiple files in bulk from your local device to SharePoint:

    2. Upload files to SharePoint dynamic folder (Folder creation happens on the fly):

    3. Upload files to SharePoint static folder:
