Turning Off Approvals In Microsoft Teams

One of my users who is a Director is complaining he is getting the same approval in his email and MS Teams. He is asking if the Teams approval can be turned off just for him.

Anyone know if this is possible?

what happens when you turn it off in teams? Will it go to Outlook? i'm having this issue, except mine only goes to Teams and not even my Outlook...
