Add error message to show at the end of the flow

Hello everyone,

I have several instances in my flow where I use the 'On error' button to jump to a label further in the flow if an error occurs.

Is there a way that whenever an error occurs and that jump is activated a message saying a specific error occurred is generated and saved to appear at the end of the flow.

Yes. Use the Get last error action to retrieve the details of the previous error. You can either use that wherever your On block error ends, or in a sub-flow and make On block error call the sub-flow.

The action will return the details of the error. You can then either write that to a text file, send it via email, etc.

Thank you, it worked.

I have another problem now I don't know if you can help. I have extraction on several web sites but I am trying to insert errors and workarounds to them. Usually the flow starts with opening the chrome with the correct URL, and on that action I choose the On Error option and select the option to go to a selected label when an error occurs to avoid going through all the other actions since without opening the site it doesn't work. But every time I select the label I want to go to, it doesn't save that information. And when I open the On Error page again there is no label selected.

Do you know how to solve this, and if not, any other way I could achieve the same goal?

That's a common bug with the label functionality in PAD. Especially if it is within a loop. It shouldn't be like this, but it is what it is.

I would recommend using an On block error action instead and expand the block to cover the group of actions that you want to skip if Launch new Chrome fails. And then make the block go to the end of the block on error. This will allow you to avoid using labels. But it will also mean that if other actions within the block fail, the same rules will also apply to them, too. If this is okay, this is the approach to go with. Otherwise, you may need to use alternative workarounds.

I will have to think it through because it is looking difficult.
There are some things that I don't want to skip if a previous action fails, and also the problem that if I use skip to next action inside an On Error Block action, and have the Get Last Error action right outside of it, it will only get me the last one even if several errors occurred inside the On Error Block.
