Canvas App chatbot control and Copilot studio - Not triggering flows

Hello,

I'd like to provide some context for the issue I'm encountering:

I'm currently working with Copilot Studio, which offers a GPT experience on a Sharepoint site.
I have implemented a feature that allows users to give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. This is captured through a Power Automate flow and the data is stored in a Dataverse.
The chatbot involved is embedded within a Canvas App.
For managing the ALM, I utilize pipelines with service principals.

The issue I'm facing is as follows:

In the development environment (DEV), everything functions as expected.
However, in the User Acceptance Testing environment (UAT), the Power Automate flow is not getting triggered. Furthermore, no error messages are being generated.

As depicted in the screenshot below, the feedback message "(thx)" appears, suggesting that the previous flow should have been triggered. However, that is not happening.

Any ideas about the potential cause of this ?

I found the solution. The chatbot control in PowerApps Canvas app has an hardcoded params "Environment ID". The chatbot displayed in the UAT app was actually the DEV Chatbot.

Solution => Use an environment variable and it works.

hello im quite curious how you got this copilot to work.

I've developed a custom copilot and when I add the control 'copilot' it requires me to add a datasource which makes no sense because Ive configured the copilot to have its own topics and variables and does not need a datasource. Hoping for your reply as resources online about copilot studio and custom copilot is realy scarce. Im beginning to think we've wasted our money buying this license.

works in teams channel however it doesnt do what's needed when embedded in canvas apps
