I have inherited a very old install of the CoE. The core components are version 1.73. I would like to upgrade directly to Aug 2022. Does anyone know if this is even possible? Will this be a do-over? If a do-over, is there any way to preserve any of the existing data?
Thanks in advance.
@JRavas : Microsoft's recommendation is to update once in 3 months to get the support.
I would recommend installing the kit in a new env, and if it is successful, then you can remove the current set-up.
This might save you time than resolving the upgrade issues if there are any. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice @ShaneMeisnerTH. I was really afraid that I wasn't going to be able to successfully upgrade, but I was planning to try today. I'll give your video a look and consider a fresh new environment. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
Going through this myself right now as the version at my new company was from January 2021. Older version upgrades are not supported. Upgrades are recommended at least twice a year.
I created a new Environment and started a new setup. I followed the steps outlined in the link below to capture existing Audit data( the video is a great resource to follow) which worked as advertised. 🙂
