Flow returning guid instead of username

(0) ShareShare

I'm sure this is simple, but when using Flow template "Receive a weekly email summary of new Dynamics 365 opportunities".

I can only return GUID instead of usernames for record creator

I experience the same issue with flow and planner integration.

Is this by design or am I missing something?

Or is an additional flow required to map guid to username?

Thanks

    Hey @rrrr

That is the default behaviour. Note that the owner field is a lookup to user entity and the value for that will be guid (identifier for the User entity record).

You can get the name by adding the get record action and referenceing the GUID:

    Hope this Helps!

I am trying this solution.  In the set variable section, it will not allow me to enter a Name (required) in that field.  The drop down is gray just like your example.  What am I doing wrong?

I have the same problem, no option to select anything for the name, which is a mandatory field. It looks like the proposed solution does not have a name entered either.

Looks like there needs to be another step before for this to work?
