Hello,
I want to install a powerapps canvas app in edge as an application.
When I run my app and then select three dots in edge / applications I do not see the option:
"Install this site as an application"
Instead I see the option "Open in Application X" (Application X is another app previously installed)
Any suggestion?
Thank you
I'm having the same issue.
I installed a lot of Power Apps in that way. But now I cannot add anymore.
I found this location, but I don't want to change here something manually.
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Web Applications
As @Fardy1 wrote, "It seems that the issue is coming from the fact that it is not possible to have 2 Edge applications from the same domain, which here is https://apps.powerapps.com/".
What I can't understand is how you and me could installed severall powerapps apps as apps in Edge.
Hello, I am having the exact same issue and it is driving me mad.
Up until a few days ago I was able to install each powerapp as an App in Edge. In my start menu I had more than 10 apps.
now I can only install one, as soon as I try to install the second one, it says that it’s already installed -> instead of “install this site as an app” is shows “open with …” 😩
Probably Microsoft changed something on the behavior … If you have any solution please let me know.
All apps shown here (appart from SharePoint and Forms) are powerapps apps
But I have several powerapps apps installed in Edge.
Is since some weeks ago that this changed.
It seems that the issue is coming from the fact that it is not possible to have 2 Edge applications from the same domain, which here is https://apps.powerapps.com/
But I find two solutions to overcome this problem:
- First if you create a new Edge profile you can create a new Edge application. The disadvantage is that you have to create a new profile every time you want to create an Edge application.
- My second solution is tow create a shortcut in your desktop using this link : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge_proxy.exe" --profile-directory=Default --app=YourAppURL
The disadvantage of this second solution is that you can't pin the shortcut on taskbar
Hi @Fardy1 ,
That is taken from PowerApps documentation:
"To install a PowerApps canvas app in Microsoft Edge, follow these steps:
Hi @pwaloval,
To my knowledge, there is no such feature in powerApps.
But you can create a shortcut on your desktop by copying the link from your application.
