I assume you are the only person editing the App. It looks like the current Live App is locked because it didn't close properly. You need to open the App for editing (You may need to override the changes) then save it a close again. Then try your restore again.

This solution did not work for me. I saved any unsaved work (even though I didn't want to save anything further - I actually wanted to discard any changes made on the last edit session), just to satisfy this requirement. And then tried to restore to a previous version, but to no avail.

I am having this same issue... Even when all other editing sessions/windows are closed, I am still receiving a "Restore failed. [Power App] is locked by [my name/email]. Even tried clearing my cache and restarting my computer to no avail.

Hey there. I actually found this post because I was having the same issue today. Like previous posters I tried clearing my cache, logging out of all instances of the app, etc. What eventually helped me was going back into the current version of the app, making a minor change(make a formula error out or something), then saving the app again, and finally publishing that version of the app. Once I did this, I was then able to go back to the Details page and rollback to a previous version of my app. Frustrating workaround but I hope it helps!

I was able to solve this issue by opening the edit screen of the latest saved version of my Power App, clicking on save (you may need to make a minor change for the Save button not to be greyed out), and then selecting the "← Back" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Doing so will display a "Closing App" message, after which I relaunched my browser, opened the details section of my Power App, and was able to successfully restore a prior version.

Agreed, you don't want to back out of the web browser to get out of the app editor, that is not the proper way of "editing" the app editor space.

Yes, the Fix below is correct.  I tried everything but once I reopened it, made a random edit, then hit the arrow "back" button, it automatically "closes" the app for you.  And then you can restore.

    Thanks!
