Hello,
I learned about Excel Automate Scripts just a month ago, I've implemented some in my Excel files and they work just fine (Really basic stuff, hiding and showing rows). The files and Scripts are shared in a folder on the company network, and the same scripts work on different files, but only on my computer. My boss tried to use the files on his computer, but the Scripts buttons are just unclickable images. We looked into it and he has the license for Excel 2019, and the Excel dashboard does not even have the Automate tab.
Is there a solution? Could some add-on solve this issue, or is it impossible for the 2019 version of Excel to run Scripts?
Thank you in advance!
Hi @StefanoR ,
In this slightly old blog article I found this functionality is only available for E3 and E5 licensed users: Automate your tasks with the Automate tab—now in Excel for Windows and Mac - Microsoft Community Hub
