I'm not a developer, so tend to use all the built-in functionality of Power Automate to automate tasks for our group. I'm trying to convert the body of an email to text, but the HTML to Text conversion function is not available in our company's installation (and they won't add it.)
Any suggestions on how I can accomplish converting the HTML in the body of the email to plain text without using the HTML to Text conversion function?
It would use the same HTML to Text action. The only way it wouldn't show Would be if your admins have blocked the connector using DLP. (or your in one of the government clouds. It's not in DOD or GCC High). Have you checked with the admins to see if they blocked it?
Yes, I tried searching for Content Conversion, but no joy. Is there an option to send it to a file and then remove the HTML on reading the file back in so you're only getting the text?
There are third party connectors that will do the same thing. But if they won't allow the use of the built-in function then third party is probably out also. Without the converter there really isn't another option. You might try searching for Content Conversion as a connector. Sometimes the Html to Text action is hard to find when searching.
