I'm trying to create a new Flow, rolling my own. This is the first time I've done this. I want it to be a Flow that is trigger by a button in the Flow app on my phone. So, the trigger is a manual one. That's OK. I discovered that I could put in a selection list in the trigger. This was ideal, as I wanted to have 1 of 4 different messages that I'd send to my work email account. Things really looked like they'd work.
After a lot of looking around I found an action named Send an email. This looked like it would work (and the one using Office 365 failed miserably, but then I realized that probably the Office 365 actions would work with either the Outlook app on my desktop or my phone. All I need to do is send an email from my Microsoft account, using Outlook.com.) So, I choose the Send an email action. I got into the advanced options and specified my work email account, I put the dynamic option Input in the Subject line and I put some static text into the body of the email. I'm guessing that Input that I used for the Subject line, is taken from the selection I'll make when selecting that button in the Flow app. So, I thought all was good. I went to test it.
That failed to work. When I tested it on the Flow website, I was able to make my selection of one of the 4 options. Then it just sat there. I even tested it on my phone. I could select one of the 4 options, but again it just sat there, doing nothing.
I don't get this. What in heck in Send an email for, if it doesn't send an email? What magic incantation do I need to recite, what secret handshake is it that I don't know, what in heck am I supposed to do at this point to make it actually send an email to my work email account?
