Automation on excel won't launch

I have created an automation (automated cloud flow) with the following features:
1. Trigger: “Excel Online For Business” → “For a selected row”.
2. I selected the table I wanted to use in my excel file
3. Using the “Condition” module → If someone modifies the excel file and adds a value equal to “Nicolas” in the “Preparer” column
4. Then if TRUE → use OUTLOOK module “Send mail”.

My problem is that the automation doesn't work even though all the steps seem correct. Can you please help me?

Can you share screenshots of your configuration?
Where exactly is the flow failing? Can you share screenshots of previous runs?
Is the flow being triggered correctly?

Remember that the “For a selected row” trigger gives you a button in Excel to trigger the flow based on the selected row. The flow will not trigger automatically. Is this what you are expecting?

    Thank you for your feedback.
Please find below a screenshot of my configuration. The flow has no error, it just doesn't launch, it's as if there were no trigger.
However, I thought that the “For a selected row” trigger would automatically launch the flow as soon as someone modified the excel table, because that's the aim of my flow. But there's no other trigger for excel in power automate.

Can you please help me so that my flow starts automatically?

Yes, the automation is not triggered because that’s not how the “For a selected row” trigger works.

Unfortunately, there is no available trigger for Excel that activates every time a new row is added to a table, this is a current limitation.

A workaround is to use a SharePoint List instead. You can use the “When a new item is created or modified” trigger in your flow. Depending on your requirements, this might work for you. Then if you need to view the SP List as an Excel file, you can export it as an Excel file.

    Hope this helps.

as @AnthonyAmador said, for selected row trigger works in different way. see the article for more details on for selected row

Also as suggested by @AnthonyAmador try with SharePoint List as well- good and recommended option.

Along with that try with dataverse table as well.
