When an item on a SharePoint list is approved, update properties of a folder & add attachments

Hi!

So I have a SharePoint list with all the project documents listed with full columns to know what revision and object it is at that time and a library that works as an archive with the same documents but as a folder (to look oldest revisions). The thing is, when I send to approve the new review made and they approve it, update properties of the folder as the new revision and add inside the new attachment or revision that will be attached in the item.
I am having trouble because I only see the trigger "when an item is created or modified" and not when an item is approved.
Also I am getting an error that I only get the file updated inside the folder and not folder as well:
Inside the folder is ok:
Outside the folder:
It should be as DOCUMENTO 3, but it doesnt appear. Also it add the data into other "Documento x" and not the actual one.
The flow I have is this one:
So what should I do:
1. To make it when the item is approved
2. Update properties both folder columns and file columns inside of the folder

Thanks!

@CarlesMartin You will need to use a trigger condition. It's always best practice when using an automated trigger in your flow to add trigger conditions. In your case, a trigger condition will help your flow from triggering each time an item is created or modified and only trigger when an item is marked approved.

Trigger conditions can be set in most flow triggers. These conditions you set must be true for the trigger to fire.
In this Power Automate tutorial, I’m going to show you how to use trigger conditions in your flows to control when your Power Automate flows trigger. If your plan has flow run limits—you can avoid triggering your flows unnecessarily by using trigger conditions.
I’ll cover four different flow examples that would benefit from trigger conditions:

⚡️ Triggering a flow when a column is changed to a specific value
⚡️ Triggering a Flow When an Event Updated or Deleted
⚡️ Triggering a Flow When a New Folder is Created
⚡️ Triggering a Flow When a Specific Email is Received
I’ll also show you a trick on how to easily create the expressions needed and give you a few tips on how to troubleshoot your flow.
    IN THIS VIDEO:
✓ Four different flows that would benefit from trigger conditions
✓ What is a trigger condition?
✓ How to add a trigger condition to your flow
✓ How to trigger a flow when a column is changed to a specific value
✓ How to trigger a flow when an event is updated or Deleted
✓ How to trigger a flow when a new folder is created
✓ How to trigger a flow when a specific email is received
✓ How to troubleshoot a trigger condition
✓ How to prevent case sensitivity issues with a trigger condition
✓ How to use the filter array action to easily compose an expression that can be used in a trigger condition

Instead of attaching files to a SP item, have you considered adding a link to the folder in the doc library instead? This way you don't need to update the SP item each time. Also, this will maintain the integrity of your file—since there will be only one copy to reference.

    Hope this helps!

I checked it out! It seems that would work the thing is, what expression should I use?
This isnt working: "equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Estado de Aprobación/Value'],'Aprobado')"
When that changes to "Aprobado" I want 2 things:
    1. Modify the last "revisión" in a folder which I am using as an archive for full revisions of a file.
As you can see I would want Column Revision turn to B and other columns probably would change too.
I would add another file in the item so that item would go inside of that folder with the new revision too.
    2. So I want to get that file inside of the folder with also the new revision, so I could see the LAST revision from folders overview and would have the full revisions (A, B, C...) inside...
This is the flow I have, but it doesnt update both folder and file.
What should I change, sometimes it doesnt even modifies the right folder i dont know why.
Thanks for the reply! Great youtube channel btw, i am new using power automate and SharePoint.
