Hi everyone,
I hope you are doing well 🙂
I want to complete a PDF file with Power Automate Desktop for my research. The PDF file is editable.
My first try was to open the PDF file with Edge Browser and send the mouse to a specific position (X, Y) but
the file must be opened with a zoom of 75% to find all the fields, e.g. name, surname, birthday, street, and so on.
It was not possible to capture UI Elements in the web browser. Then I tried to identify with OCR recognition of the positions of text and textboxes but to do that I needed to convert the PDF file to an image (jpeg, png). The positions are relative to the file zoom. The converting is too much, and need to ensure that the file will be open with the specific zoom.
My second try was to open the file with Adobe Acrobat Reader. In the Application it shows some regions as a "pane" and sometimes it shows the text boxes as "a custom ui element" and that´s what I want. I was able to capture it finally and by proceeding with the flow it was not able to find the UI Element. Then I try to identify the UI Elements again and I can´t capture the "UI custom" elements. It shows everything as a "pane".
I don´t understand the behavior, why is it sometimes recognizing it as a "UI custom" and most of my tries it identifies only the whole screen? Is there a way to customize it? I have found some solutions in the forum, but it does not work for me.
I would appreciate your help! 🙂 Hopefully, somebody can give me some advice. I want to help handicapped people with my research.
Best regards
Milad
